Chad Stretch has 38 years experience in the Architectural Woodwork Manufacturing Industry, and is a founding member of the Atlantic Chapter of the Architectural Woodwork Manufacturers Association of Canada (AWMAC). He has served on the Board of Directors at the national level and is currently the Vice-President and Chair of the Promotions, Education & Development Committee. He lives on Prince Edward Island with his wife Nancy.

A cabinetmaker by trade, he completed his apprenticeship in 1973 and, along with his brother Wayne, started a very successful cabinet-making business (Stretch Bros. Woodworking) which continued until 1985 when he became the Manager for Cabinetmaster Architectural Woodwork Ltd in Charlottetown. During this time, the company was sold to a new owner, expanded to two plants, and moved from focusing on kitchen cabinets to manufacturing high quality products for the hospitality industry across North America and into the Caribbean. He remained at CAWL as Director of Operations until 2007 when he began his own company, Dovetail Projects, to provide Project Management and Consulting Services to Architects, Designers, Specification Writers, Manufacturers and General Contractors.
